I've known Buckley Mitchell for almost 10 years now, and I have to say without any hesitation he is one of the most unique individuals I've had the pleasure of knowing. He has asked me to write a brief biography of his like, so here it goes:

Buckley was born January 8, 1981 in Santa Monica, CA. After spending 6 years at Topanga Elementary School and about 3 years at Paul Revere Middle School (probably less, but no one can be certain), he started his long illustruious career at none other than Palisades Charter High School by the Pacific Ocean.

Thoroughout high school and college, Buckley has excelled in both his academic career and in a wide variety of extracarricular work. He was producer and editor of a PBS television show, he has recently been honored with a Commerative Emmy Award for his camera work on "Every Fifteen Minutes: For My Friends", an Emmy Award winning documentary. He has also several other awards for his work with film, video, and animation.

Buckley has also spent much time doing public service. He was an active member in an honors society, Alpha-Gamma-Sigma, which aided the local community in affiliation with Aids Project, Los Angeles, Boy Scouts of America, and several other organizations.

Buckley has earned an Associate of Liberal Arts degree from Santa Monica College, and is currently working towards his BS at UC Santa Cruz, majoring in Computer Science, with a minor in Astrophysics. He plans to spend most of the next year abroad in Australlia, where he plans to work towards his educational goals as a foriegn exchange student.

Although Buckley is very busy with his studies, he always seems to make time for his friends and for recreation. He enjoys bicycling, playing his trumpet, and pretty is pretty much open to try anything else. We all wish him luck in his studies, and hope he has a most fruitful experience abroad and once he returns.
